about

The word "star" was one of the first recognizable words from our son Liam. But something about the way he said it made me think...made me try my best to slow my own crazy brain, pull away from the fast paced ways of everything I've come to know.

lyrics

Star
Verse-
Chasing the days
Like a lost child
I got no time left to play
Or wander through the wild

Eyes bright and wide
he's all teeth and tongue
Love and light come tangled
In a shining little son

Chorus-
Hold to your light
don't ever lose your star
All of your life
Is a road to what you are

Verse-
Both hands in the sky
He's two feet from the ground
One big happy heart
For the whole world round

Chorus
Hold to your light
don't ever lose your star
All of your life
Is a road to what you are

“The devil will eventually want a guitar lesson from Tony Furtado, but he’ll have to wait in line like the rest of us.” - Willy porter
